The City Uncovered
Our walk begins outside one of London's most symbolic buildings, St Paul's Cathedral, and finishes beside the Royal Exchange and the Bank of England.
On this walk we will:
- Visit the City of London's last surviving gateway
- Meet the man we have to thank for universal postage and postage stamps
- Visit one of the City's gardens; a site of moving tributes to everyday heroes
- Stop beside a City church that medieval travellers, going in and out of the City, visited to pray for a safe journey
- Discover buildings by some of the world's greatest 20th and 21st century architects
This is a good introductory walk to the City of London and will introduce you to a variety of buildings, locations and people associated with the City.
Duration: 1½ to 2 hours
